Leadership

2017 Go Red For Women Co-Chairs

Angie Tallant & Heather Lambert, Somers and Associates, REALTORS®

Angie Tallant is the owner of Somers & Associates, REALTORS®, a local industry leader in all aspects of real estate practice. Angie is an enthusiastic and dedicated community leader as well as a respected business owner, wife and mother.  She has participated with the American Heart Association for several years.  She has served on many boards to include Greater Fairbanks Board of REALTORS®, The Fairbanks Chamber ,and The Fairbanks Children’s Museum.  She also contributes time and donations to several events for the military and children in our community.  She oversees the annual effort at Somers & Associates REALTORS® to supply Christmas gifts to every foster care child in the Fairbanks area. Angie has also worked tirelessly for the Association of REALTORS® on a local, state and national capacity for the last 10 years and recently received the prestigious Alaska State REALTOR® of the Year award. Through her tireless hard work as a business owner, industry champion, and dedicated philanthropist Angie has earned the enduring respect of her employees, REALTORS®, and colleagues, and has a special place in the heart of the Golden Heart City.

Heather Lambert embodies the REALTOR® spirit, work ethic, drive, and is such an incredible force in her community that even in a field where volunteerism and charitable efforts are the norm and not the exception, she stands out.  Since coming back to Fairbanks, she married her high school love, and has been raising two wonderful children all while standing out in her real estate career and donating countless hours to Greater Fairbanks Board of REALTORS®, American Heart Association, Fairbanks Counseling and Adoption, PTA, and the closest to her heart, the Fairbanks Children’s Museum where she co-founded and presided as President of the board for many years. Heather has been recognized in her community and received numerous awards including the Golden Heart Hero Award from Flint Hills Resources and the George Nehrbas Volunteer of the Year Award from the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce. In addition she was awarded two top honors, simultaneously:  Affiliates REALTOR® of the Year and REALTOR® of the Year.

Angie and Heather agree that protecting women’s health is what fuels their determination and dedication as the co-chairs of the Go Red for Women Luncheon.  They will work to put together a fun and festive event to raise funds that will be put toward the American Heart Association mission to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
